When I started this blog, I had no idea how many people I would meet through it. It has become one of the best parts of this blog.
Two of these people have become very good friends of mine. Ross and his wife Marge from Canada, have been involved with the Pryor Horses since 1995. They even made a trip up the mountain with Reverend Floyd Schwieger. I wish I could have been so lucky to share a few hours with Rev. Schwieger. I am sure it was a day to remember.
Ross contacted me last winter to talk about the horses, and then proceeded to send me over 400 photos of past trips he and Marge took, along with all his horse lists starting in 1995. Some of the photos were taken by Ross and some of them have been taken by Rev. Schwieger.
This past summer they both came and joined Amber and I for a day on the mountain. That has become a day for me to remember and cherish. I hope I am able to spend many more days on the mountain with them.
Here are some past photos that Ross and Marge took. I am not going identify them for you. Some I know, some I do not know. I will let you do that for me, if you want. I have labeled them by number and if you would like to identify any of them, just type the number in your comment so we all know what photo you are identify.
With or without names, it is just wonderful to take a look at these photos and see the horses and the range. Several of these photos were taken in the Custer National Forest, where the horses can no longer go.
I will do several more posts with these photos over the next several months. I hope you enjoy looking into the past, I know I have.
I may have posted a few repeat photos, as my eyes were starting to cross as I was looking and numbering them. Please forgive me if I did!
