The second known 2015 Pryor Foal was discovered by the BLM a few days ago.  She was born to the mare Fiasco and the stallion Custer.  She has been named Prospera.

Thank you 45 Degrees North Photography for the photo!!

Custer is the 1996 son of Sitka and Shaman, Fiasco is the 2005 daughter of Topper Too and Chino.

  1. Look at the vastness. Why can we not have a glorious herd of horses on that public land. How beautiful it would be to see horses living free on such majestically fit land.

It is good she keeps the foal so high. Wondering what BLM was doing out there? Could it be they are deciding who t pzp next, setting areas for bait traps?

    1. We do have a herd of horses on this range. 170. These horses look to be on Sykes Ridge, which is a good place for them to be. The BLM was most likely administering the PZP and checking on the horses. This is the time of year that they do that. This would not be the area for the bait traps.

      1. I suppose so. I don’t accept less than. Especially when we have already promised we would not harrass them. This is a sad story that the drugs are on the horses there. A breeding program. That is what it is. Truth trumps fantasy.

  2. This is really my “wish” foal. I was so hoping that Custer and Fiasco would have a foal this summer since there wasn´t one last year and a bonus that the foal is a filly.

  3. I am so happy out this one!!! We haven’t really seen pictures of this band all winter and I had been really hoping and wondering if she might be pregnant. I was so happy when the news got posted. And what a beautiful little girl she is! I bet if she roans out she will look like Grandma Sitka and Aunt Adona. Either way she will be beautiful! And Custer’s first filly 🙂

  4. So happy to see a foal of Custer’s as he really was one of my (many) favourites to see ‘in the flesh’ 🙂
