Pryor Foal number 14, a filly, was born on July 1 to Blue Moon and Halcyon.  Blue Moon is the 2001 son of Sitka and Shaman.   Halcyon is the 2007 daughter of Blue Sioux and Coronado.  Her name is Olivia, which is the Latin name for Olive, the symbol of peace.  This name fits well with the family theme (Halcyon, Nirvana).

  1. So gorgeous, and can’t you just see what a proud daddy he is! 🙂 And her delicacy reminds me of Maia.

  2. She’s just gorgeous! Such a delicate build and looong lashes 🙂 Beautiful dark face too.. mommy and daddy should be proud:)

    1. I was just thinking, if Innocentes doesn’t have a filly/she’s named something else “Oriata” could work for a foal from Custer or even another relative of Sitka, too.

I just really love the name as a suggestion and think it’s such a nice idea to do a tribute to Damsel/Dancer so would hate for it to possibly be ruled out if Cloud doesn’t have a filly this year!

      1. I was thinking the same thing. That it could work for another of Dancers siblings. Flint was my first thought. I really hope it gets used too.

      2. Orion would have been a great name for Galaxy’s colt! Funny how Oro is similar sounding though not related meaning-wise.

As far as Damsel/Dancer relatives go-this is a hugggge stretch but the only other connection I can draw of the mares presumed pregnant is Moenkopi: her grand dam is a full sister to Cloud. 🙂 Hard to believe Damsel doesn’t have any full siblings on the range :/
