Morning Star , born in 1996, son of Washakie and Plenty Coups
Foals #5 and 6. Mother and daughter! Icara and Morgana. Currently in Fools Crow Band. Sex unknown. Name ofr Icara’s: Oglala.
Icara, born in 2009, daughter of Waif and Corona.
Morgana, born in 2012, daughter of Icara and Merlin.
If I was to guess, I would say both of these foals were most likely sired by Hidalgo.
Foal # 7.
Fresia, born in 2005, daughter of Buffalo Girl and Durango. A colt. Name: Oak. Currently in Hidalgo’s band.
Sire may also be Hidalgo.

Yes, Morgana’s foal looks to have a blaze, maybe like Hidalgos. Can’t wait to see better photos or see for myself!
I thought Morgana’s foal looked light too, but it could be a combination of the baby coat paired with the quality of the photo.
We can not wait for our June trip! So much to see and so much to learn! The name OREMUS means let us pray- perfect for one of these little ones 🙂

So exciting! Can’t wait to hear the names. Typically how many foals a year are born in the Pryors?
Last year there were 17. But there have been many years where there are more than that. Without looking back at my post, I believe there were around 30 possibilities. But some of those mares don’t look pregnant, but then of course we did not include the two-year olds in that count. It will be interesting to see what happens.
I can’t wait to see closer up pictures of these four!! NPS had said they thought Morgana’s may be dun so that would also point to Hidalgo being the sire as well as the time frame. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of these cuties this summer!
Yay, more foals! 😀 That picture of Morning Star always makes me think he looks a lot less Spanish than most of the other stallions, at least in his facial features. Regardless, a very striking picture of him!

It’s been reported on the Mustang Center’s website that Hataali’s foal has been named Oracle.
