I am just going to post several photos I took while giving two day trips to the top of the mountain. In the seven days that I spent on the mountain top, there were only 2 mountain-top horses that I did not see. London and Knight.
I am not worried about them. I am sure they are fine. It is likely that I just missed seeing them. With the horses so spread out and in the trees on different parts of the mountain, missing them would not be hard to do. I will however, be happy to see them on my next trip. I am sure I will. I will keep you posted.

Thanks for all of the beautiful pictures and for sharing them with us. I think Norma Jean is such a beautiful little filly and hope she gets to stay on the range to live her life, as I do all of the others who were born this year. They all look very healthy and even Santa Fe looks better since he is hanging with the boys! I especially love the photo of Galaxy and Ireland! So sweet.
I loved all of your previous post’s, but have not had time to comment much lately due to so many things to do at home with the garden and putting up the vegetables for the winter. I have also been spending a lot of time with Liesl & Kaibab and my own two horses.
Thanks again.
Sandy, I spent time with Knight and London three days in a row last week. They both look great. Knight is really starting to fill out, and London is starting to stretch out. While Knight has a really sweet disposition, I was surprised at how bold London is for being that young. It seems he’s got some sort of beef with Irial, who was alone everytime I saw him. Whenever he’d come around London would run him off quite aggressively, w/ Knight and the FS boys in tow.
Enjoy your stay next week.
Thank you Scott for the report on Knight and London! It is always great to know that all the horses are accounted for! Hope you had a great trip on the mountain.
Omg I want to cry because the novel I just wrote disappeared 🙁 and now I have to write it again. Love that picture of Greta, she is so beautiful and has such sweet eyes. I think she looks a lot like Belle Starr in it and Mae West as well. All three of them have such beautiful and expressive eyes. I was just thinking of how she’s ended up with two stallions who like to live secluded. I’m not sure if it was like that when she was still with Belle Starr and Chino, but it’s been like that ever since she ended up with Bristol before she was quite a year old. I think she likes the quiet and private life. I love the picture of Flint with the sky behind him, he’s looking good. I hope we see a foal from him and Isadora next year. Nye and Niobrara really seem to be best friends as well as sisters. They seem to like playing with Encore too. I love that picture of them in the flowers! Love it!! And I noticed how Ingrid stopped to say hello as she was walking past. I really think she wants another baby of her own and I hope she gets one next year! You got some beautiful pictures of Brumby!! And love the one of Jasmine too! And Firestorm is looking beautiful as always. I love seeing the brother-sister relationships between Maelstrom-Niobrara and Moorcroft-Nye. It seems there’s a lot of “M” boys who like to keep an eye on their younger sisters… Mica, Maelstrom, Moorcroft, Miocene… what good big brothers! And it seems M’lita really likes to be around Nickel. Haha I also find it amusing that Demure decided to send Irial on his way before Doc got the chance. I’m thinking based on that and on the pictures you posted of his friendly greetings with Gringo that he’s settled back into his easy going personality. Pheonix and Warbonnet are definitely two very plump ladies! Haha if they were domestic I’d probably be worried they would founder. But it’s good that they are definitely prepared for the coming winter. Chino’s looking really good too. And it seems him and Jupiter really enjoy each other’s company. Chino can definitely teach him many things. I’m happy to see Santa Fe hanging out too. Maybe him and Chino will buddy up as the retired boys. I hope so. I think it’s best for everyone that was involved (Santa Fe, Red Raven and his band) that there is a break from Santa Fe dogging the band. I don’t think he’s officially ready to stay retired, but at least for now everyone can relax and hopefully Santa Fe and Red Raven can both have some time to pick up weight before winter arrives. I like Galaxy’s droopy lip in that picture where he’s got all of the mud caked on him. And love that picture of him and Electra!! So sweet!!
I’m sure too that Knight and London are just fine. You never know where the bachelor boys are gong to be! I’m also hoping that anytime now we hear Washakie has foaled!
HA! Thanks Sarah. Sorry you had to write that twice! I wonder what happened? I don’t know if you saw Scott’s comment, but he said he saw London and Knight late last week. 🙂
It’s interesting he said he saw London run Irial off several times. They spent all last year together. It was London, Irial, and Jupiter always together. It wasn’t until this spring the groups changed and London is now usually with Knight, Inali, and Hamlet. Who knows what happened with the boys haha

The bachelor groups are never a sure thing. They change daily, sometimes hourly. I saw Hamlet and Knight or London was not with him. They are never the same.

that’s a great first picture of Garcia too!!
Sandy, I’m a bit behind on my Pryor updates. Is Brumby with Cloud now?
Hi Donna,
No, Brumby is still with Jackson! 🙂
