I love posting news and information about the Pryor Mountain Wild Horses. I work hard at getting the most current news about the horses to my blog followers. People have been very generous in sharing their photos and news with me, and I thank all of you for that.
In recent weeks I have had a few sites take photos from my blog without mentioning that is where they got them. I don’t mind that really, but I would prefer they state where they got the news and photos.
So from now on, if I am sent photos to use and they are not watermarked with a name or logo, I will be putting wildinthepryors on the photo. That way if someone “borrows” them, there will be a way for others to see where they came from.
Thanks,
Sandy
OK 🙂
Sounds great to me Sandy!!
Good idea Sandy. I think dozens of my photos are copied, even though I state copyright rights on every post.
Such a nice photo of Lakota–what a handsome boy he was. He will always live in our hearts and be forever perfect. Take care, Diane
PS Sandy–if you go to my blog, notice the Copyscape banner in the left column. If you click on it, it takes you to their site where you can join and post this banner on your site. It is free and I found it on another blogger’s site and decided to try it. Afterwards I noticed the number of image searches dropped drastically. Just the banner is enough to stop a number of image thieves…Diane
Thanks Diane! 🙂
I definitely don’t think it’s asking too much for people to give you credit for your pictures 🙂
I seriously need to get a quick method for applying the copyright to mine figured out. Either that or quit posting and sharing them—like that’s going to happen. 🙂
Hi Linda, There are some pretty easy programs out there to do it. I thought I saw you had your name on some.
