  • YES YES YES YES!!!!!! I’m so beyond relieved!!! I would say you have no idea how relieved I am, but I know all of you are just as relieved!!!

  • There are those of us who will continue for the rest of our lives to help save these horses!
It is a passion that is deep in our veins!
Thank God this is over and we still have foals on the DryHead!! YEAH!!!!!

    • Lori — saw the recent photo of the shelter — looks good 🙂 Can’t wait to see it occupied 🙂

    • I can’t wait to see it occupied too. Leisl and whoever else you choose to adopt will be very lucky! Hope you will keep us updated on them! Do you know who else you’re considering adopting or can you not say.

      • Hi Sarah!
I believe we have an eye on Kiabab too.He is small and would make a good companion to Liesl. We will see though. We all love Kokopelli, and I hate that he was removed. He was one of my favorites on the range ) : but I bet he will go for more than we have to spend. We will just have to wait and see what happens. Whoever we do get will be taken very good care of and have a wonderful home. They wil be the Ambassadors for the Center and people will love to see them. Once we get them feeling safe and secure I do believe they will become our best friends.
I am going to Britton Springs tomorrow to check on everyone and will let you know how they all are doing. I pray that they all get adopted. I, personally, am filling out my papers, just in case! I also have a love for Lenape..she is a sweet girl.
This was very difficult for me, but I understand it had to happen…doesn’t mean I agree with all of the choices. Sometimes we have to agree to disagree. As long as all of the horses go to good homes, then I will be ok.
        Thanks Joy, and Sarah!

      • Looking forward to your report on how everyone is doing! Whoever the Center chooses to adopt will be very lucky! 🙂 So sad it happened, but so happy it is over!

  • Thanks for the happier update 🙂 I second all the positive remarks, and like LoriG, will be happiest when the horses all have homes. It can be true that storm clouds have silver linings, and I’m hoping there are as many of them as there are horses in those holding pens. Kudos to all the people who have worked so hard to make this happen with as little negative events as possible. And thank you Sandy, for being our messenger. 🙂 >3 >3>3

  • And it’s supposed to be “those” >3s…. sheesh. I guess I’d better go back to bed and start over. 🙂
